This week we had the opportunity to connect with our community and uphold an important Special Olympics value which is using sport as a vehicle to open hearts and minds to individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are so honoured to have the support of organizations in Kelowna and beyond that are dedicated to making our community and our world a more inclusive space. On Tuesday, our week started strong with our Special Olympics Sports Day! This day was sponsored by the Stober Foundation and was an opportunity for their employees to connect and engage with athletes through a series of games that fostered some friendly competition. Our athletes of all ages from our Active Start and Fundamentals programs to our adult programs participated in this fun filled day!
